    Great Quality, Features, and Instructions
    I bought mine open box on eBay for much cheaper, but even at full price I’d be happy. The installation wasn’t easy, but the detailed instructions were easy to follow gave me confidence to install it by myself. Plus, the online tool took the math out of how high I needed to mount the bracket.

    The TV sits securely on the mount, moves very smoothly, and sits nice and close to the wall. The cable management is a nice extra feature. If you only have a few cables you can tidy them up quickly and without cutting drywall.

    There are some misleading comments in other reviews:

    The cable management covers can be a little difficult to pop off the first time. I’d recommend doing it before attaching the arms. Use a screwdriver to pry up one end and then a light tap with a hammer. It’ll pop right off and then can be taken off by hand.

    As a mechanical engineer, the securement screw is more than adequate. The load of the TV is supported by the bracket, and the screw is only there to prevent an accident from dislodging the TV. It won’t prevent someone determined from ripping your TV down, but no (conventional) display option would.

    Good quality, but NOT “full motion”
    This is a good quality product and relatively easy to install – it’s definitely important to verify the center of the studs, as the the mount is solidly built and heavy.

    But there’s one major issue – it’s not really “full motion”. It will only swivel about 60 – 70 degrees to left and right, not a full 90 degrees. This information is included on the back of the box in very small writing, so I guess I’m technically at fault for being mislead by the words “FULL MOTION” in very large letters on the front of the box. I will regretfully be returning this to COSTO. It’s a pity because it’s a very good product within its limitations.

    One Major Flaw
    A TV mount with a major flaw. The covers on the arms to hide the cables are impossible to remove. We have not been able to remove these covers, so unfortunately the cables hang behind the mount. Poor design, and even worse instructions which are difficult to figure out and don’t work. Disappointed! : (

    Great mount, TV hanging attach feels just OK
    It feels very sturdy and with enough tension, the tilt has held fine our 75″ Samsung.

    My only concern is the vertical bar that holds the horizontal mounts to the TV use very small screws to hold it in place. It feels very counterintuitive that this is held in place by screws much smaller than the bolts that attach to the TV and Wall. If those screws fail, there is nothing to stop the TV from sliding all the way to the floor.

    The TV is only 69lbs, but when your investment is $2500 it leads to some nervous wonder if those small screws are strong enough to hold. Wish the bottom of this piece had a failsafe lip on it to prevent that scenario.

    Otherwise, its good.

    Premium Solid Mount but Some Issues
    Bought this as my first mount for an 83″ TV as I felt I should go with a premium product for such a big and expensive TV. Mount is super strong and instructions are understandable. I do worry that there is too much wobble but maybe this is expected for an 83″ TV using a full-motion mount. I anticipated this a bit.

    My bigger issue is the hiding of the cables which I felt was a reason to buy this model. But you can’t put that many cables through those small holes and the cable covers are not easy to remove or install. You absolutely need to find thin cables to make it all work. Hiding the cables is a great idea but the execution is lacking. And if you don’t get the cables managed properly, the TV won’t fit back against the wall cleanly. So this might seem like a minor point, but it becomes critical in practice. My experience with chat support was not helpful, the rep was courteous but basically confirmed that these were issues that buyers often run into.

    Awesome look, easy movement, but….
    Solid bracket but the points at which the TV connects to the wall mount is WAY to small. Used It for my Samsung 82” Q90 TV and the tilt and leveling were really flimsy, too much TV for that bracket.

      I am still impressed with how sturdy and strong this mount is. I just replaced my 55 inch samsung with a 65 inch which is just below the weight limit of 55 lbs. It was just as easy to mount and adjust and it easily maintains its position where you set it. Its a well engineered product.

      Well made product but zero customer support
      I bought this model after confirming it was compatible with a new TV I had. While trying to install it, I discovered that the screws specified by the TV maker were not provided by Sanus and the spacers they provided didn’t fit in the holes in the back of the TV. I emailed Sanus twice about the issue, each time getting no response. Guidelines advise avoiding writing about customer service issues and instead contact them, but what can a customer do when a company ignores their emails?

      How to choose a TV bracket

      Back to news list

      The time of convex CRT TVs is over, as is the habit of installing them in ancient furniture walls. When choosing a bracket for a modern flat-panel TV, we solve at least two tasks – leisure comfort and saving space in the room. You can mount the TV on the wall, on the table or on the ceiling. The most popular in modern conditions are wall mounts for TVs. According to the type of fixation, they are of three types: fixed, inclined and tilt-rotary.

      • fixed;
      • inclined;
      • tilt-and-turn

      The simplest mount is a fixed bracket. It securely and firmly holds the TV on the wall, without turning or tilting the screen in horizontal or vertical planes. Two vertical supports allow you to choose the position of the monitor a little higher or lower.

      Tilt brackets are slightly more complex than fixed brackets and allow you to adjust the vertical viewing angle up to 15 degrees, which sometimes helps to protect the screen from the sun. Brackets of this type are suitable for small spaces.

      The most convenient mounts with a tilt-and-turn mechanism. They give almost complete freedom of maneuver horizontally and vertically, as well as rotation up to 360 degrees. There are swivel-tilt brackets with knee-type mounts that can fold and slide, allowing you to change the position of the TV at your discretion. Most often, such models are installed in the corners of the premises.

      TV bracket: choice by diagonal and weight

      When choosing a mount for your new TV, numbers such as screen size and load capacity matter. Why is the size of the screen diagonal important when choosing a TV bracket?

      If you use a mount that is too large for a small diagonal, it can close the connectors for connection, not to mention the fact that long straps stick out ugly from all sides. If the bracket is smaller than the required size, then the fasteners will not fit and you will have to spend time and money on finding new ones.

      When choosing the maximum allowable load, we add 30% to the weight of the TV to guarantee safety. For example, if the TV weighs 15 kg, we take a bracket with a load capacity of 20 kg.

      VESA size

      These are the dimensions between the bolts on the mount. How to know the VESA size? To do this, look at the instructions for the TV. Manufacturers prescribe these numbers. For example, 50×50, 400×400, 800×400. The first number indicates the distance between the bolts horizontally, the second – vertically.

      Life hack! If the instructions from the TV are lost, find the model by name on the manufacturer’s website, VESA dimensions in the technical specifications. If the name could not be found out, measure the distance between the mounting holes with a ruler or centimeter.

      There are models with universal holes for various VESA sizes. They are suitable for zealous owners who do not want to change the bracket every time the TV is updated.

      Finally

      When choosing a bracket for a TV, in addition to the above parameters, it is necessary to take into account the materials used. The most durable fasteners are made of steel, but there are also mixed or aluminum models. You can buy brackets for the Leben TV in the Constant Sales Store or Galamart. Classic black color will fit into the design of any interior. The necessary fasteners are included in the scope of delivery.

TV mount: advantages and disadvantages of using

Thanks to innovative technologies, modern TVs have become flat. In this case, the size of the diagonal of the devices may be different. On sale you can find not only standard, but also compact, even huge TVs. However, even large-sized devices are relatively light in weight, so they can be hung on a wall or ceiling using a bracket.

You can mount your TV on any vertical surface with the bracket

Benefits of using brackets:

  1. You can mount your TV on any vertical surface.
  2. A TV panel mounted on a table or nightstand can be easily knocked over and broken. This will not happen with a bracket.
  3. Saving free space in the room.
  4. Organic placement of the TV panel in the interior of the room.
  5. Ergonomically designed with TV wall mounts that rotate to change the position of the panel depending on where the viewers are.
  6. Reasonable price.
  7. Compact dimensions.

TV wall mount has many advantages. It is convenient and reliable, invisible and able to provide comfortable conditions for watching movies and programs.

Good advice! If you attach a special LED light, you can not only create a beautiful design, but also reduce the contrast and reduce eye strain.

Mounting the TV with the bracket is possible both on the wall and on furniture

These products are widely used in everyday life, although they are not without drawbacks:

  1. Installation of mounts is possible only if there are sockets used to connect the TV. If they are not available, installing the bracket will incur additional costs.
  2. The fastening element is almost invisible behind the TV case, which cannot be said about the wires that hang down. To disguise them, you will have to purchase a special box.
  3. Be sure to organize a storage system near the TV panel, for example, shelves where you can place additional equipment, music and movie discs, a remote control, a game console, etc.
  4. Do-it-yourself installation of the holder requires some knowledge and skills.
  5. If you want to move the TV to another location, you will need to perform a lot of labor-intensive operations.
  6. Removing the panel leaves marks on the wall, so you will definitely have to change the finish.
  7. Over time, under the influence of weight, the fasteners sag.
  8. Poor installation may cause the TV to fall.

TV wall bracket for comfortable viewing of movies and TV shows

The main types of TV brackets, their features

There are several classifications according to which TV brackets are divided into types. By the nature of the placement of the base platform, the mounts are:

  1. Wall-mounted – the most common version of products.
  2. Ceiling – used in cases where it is necessary to install a TV in the center of the room with the ability to rotate 360 °.
  3. Floor stands – these stands are used for public events such as business meetings and presentations. For convenient transportation in such designs, wheels are provided, as well as shelves for installing additional equipment.
  4. Desktop – most often used when organizing a workplace with a computer monitor, although an option with a TV is also possible.

Depending on the design, the TV holders can have different degrees of freedom. Taking into account this parameter, the following types of brackets are distinguished:

  • fixed;
  • tilt-and-turn;
  • inclined.

Depending on the design, the brackets are available as fixed, tilt or tilt

Important! The rotation angle given in the product data sheet does not take into account the size of the TV. In practice, it may be less. The angle of rotation depends on the diagonal of the screen.

Swivel Wall Mount TV Mount

The Swivel & Pop-out TV Mount is considered the most convenient mounting option. These products have the maximum number of degrees of freedom, allowing the owner to adjust the position of the flat screen to their liking.

Using the swivel TV arm with retractable design, you can not only fix the screen in any convenient position, but also move the unit itself. The holder allows you to move the equipment close to the wall or install it perpendicular to it. In addition, it is possible to adjust and fix the screen at any angle.

It is advisable to install retractable swivel mounts along walls that are located on the sunny side of the building. This type of placement of the TV will prevent glare from entering. To do this, just turn the screen in the opposite direction from the window.

Using the retractable swivel arm for the TV, you can not only fix it in a comfortable position, but also move it to the side. This feature is useful if you plan to rearrange the chairs and sofa in the room in the future. Thus, the bracket can be used to adjust the position of the wall-mounted TV to the updated environment.

Angled swivel TV wall mount

Tilt version of the swivel arm allows you to change the position of the TV, as well as adjust the angle of its inclination. Regardless of where the plasma panel is installed, this type of mount allows you to adjust the screen plane in a horizontal or vertical direction to provide the most comfortable viewing conditions.

Benefits of the Tilt & Swivel TV Wall Mount:

  • Comfortable and easy screen adjustment;
  • the ability to quickly select and adjust the position of the screen to any viewing point in the room;
  • allows you to install a TV in a corner area, so you can successfully beat the interior of rooms with a non-standard layout.

Please note! On sale you can find TV brackets that can independently adjust the position of the TV panel using the remote control. Of course, the cost of such mounts is much higher than the price of conventional models.

In order to be able not only to change the position of the TV, but also to adjust its angle, you need to use a tilt-and-swivel bracket

Disadvantages of using a tilt-and-swivel TV stand on the wall: special skills and knowledge are required;

  • a large distance is formed between the TV and the wall;
  • high cost;
  • there are weight restrictions.
  • TV Corner Mount Features

    Plasma TV Corner Mounts allow you to place appliances in the corner of a room. This product option is very beneficial for many reasons. Firstly, the corner zone is usually empty; this section of the room is very difficult to beat in the interior. Mounting the TV in this way makes it possible to rationally use this space.

    Secondly, the design of the corner mounts is in many ways similar to the swing-out brackets, so they also successfully solve the problems with the furnishings of rooms with a non-standard layout.

    Thirdly, the TV is installed on one of the walls, but at the same time the possibility of viewing from different points of the room is preserved. Fourthly, the panel can be simply folded when not in use, without fear of snagging it during the cleaning process. This advantage will be appreciated by owners of small apartments where space is limited.

    TV corner brackets allow you to place the unit in the corner of the room

    The design advantages don’t stop there. The corner version of the TV wall bracket can be called a universal mount. This type of product does not have to be used only in the corner of the room. With it, you can install the TV even in the middle of the wall.

    Types of TV mounts on the ceiling

    Ceiling types of brackets allow you to watch TV from any corner of the room, providing the ability to rotate and tilt the screen. Manufacturers produce mounts even for enterprises. Such products have an increased margin of safety and moisture resistance, and they are also able to withstand high loads.

    Available types of TV ceiling mounts:

    1. Tilt – designed for large appliances that are heavy. These fasteners are highly durable.
    2. Swivel-tilt – used to mount TVs, the diagonal size of which does not exceed 40 inches.

    Please note! Installed on the ceiling, the TV not only frees up space in the room, but also allows you to divide the room into zones. This mounting option is optimal if there are small children or animals in the house that can knock over the panel.

    Ceiling mounts make it possible to comfortably watch TV even from a lying position

    Various materials are used for the manufacture of ceiling brackets. Experts advise giving preference to products made of metal, such as aluminum or steel. Designs with plastic components have a very limited lifespan and are not safe. Among ceiling brackets, remote-controlled mounts are very common. They are the most convenient to use.

    How to choose a TV mount: standards and recommendations

    Before buying TV panel mounts, it is necessary to determine exactly where the equipment will be installed and how the selected area meets the goals:

    • protect the TV from animals and children, as well as mechanical damage;
    • saving free space in the room;
    • creating a beautiful and ergonomic design.

    If the TV is to be mounted on the wall, when choosing a bracket for its installation, certain rules must be followed. First of all, you need to pay attention to the strength characteristics of the bracket, and also take into account what level of loads it is designed for. This takes into account the weight of the TV panel. If the maximum mounting limit is 15 kg, then for a TV with a weight similar or close to this indicator, it is worth choosing a more durable option.

    When choosing a bracket, you need to pay attention to what level of loads it is designed for.

    It is advisable to buy products from trusted and reliable manufacturers that maintain the quality of products at a high level. But even in this case, it is better to play it safe and purchase a TV wall mount with an additional margin of safety (about 5-10 kg more).

    Types of brackets and their characteristics. How to choose and mount on the wall.

    The diagonal size of the TV is also of great importance. The bracket is selected taking into account this parameter. The recommended value (in centimeters or inches) is usually indicated in the mount specifications. For most buyers, the ability to adjust is important. Since not all mounts allow you to change the position of the screen, you need to make sure that this function is available. Some models of wall-mounted TV holders provide additional features, for example, shelves where you can put speakers and a tuner, or a box for masking wires.

    Good advice! It is desirable that the body of the TV and the bracket be made in the same color. In this case, the mount will not be too conspicuous. Gray, black and white shades are considered standard, although combined options can also be found.

    Vesa-marked brackets are the most common mounting option. The products of most manufacturers have such an inscription. They belong to the category of universal products manufactured in accordance with generally accepted standards.

    The mount is selected not only on the basis of loads, but also on the size of the diagonal of the TV

    Vesa’s generally accepted standards system for mounts

    Vesa standards determine the dimensional parameters of fasteners for TVs. According to this system, the holes for fixing on the holders are placed at a distance of 75, 100, 200, 300 or 400 mm from each other. This standard is followed by all manufacturers of household appliances. Therefore, TV brackets for Samsung, Sony, LG and other brands are selected taking into account the parameters approved by the Electronic Standards Association. This system also determines the thread diameter of the fasteners.

    The main list of rules indicated for the Vesa standards:

    1. In order to be able to mount any appliance on a wall, 4 holes must be made on its back side. They must be threaded.
    2. The applied thread must meet one of the following standards: M8, M6 or M4.
    3. In most cases, the holes should be symmetrical in relation to the center of the instrument. Depending on the size of the product, they form a rectangle or square.
    4. Hole spacing clearly marked.

    Recommended Vesa dimensions based on TV diagonal:

    TV diagonal size, inch Recommended Vesa Standard, mm
    <22 75×75, 50×50, 100×100
    24

    200×100, 100×100

    The standards in the table apply in most cases, although there are exceptions. This is due to the technical characteristics of some TV models. Therefore, when buying mounts, you must know the exact distance between the holes on the back of the device.

    Good advice! The instructions that come with the TV usually list the recommended Vesa standard. However, you can get this information yourself by measuring the distance with a ruler.

    When buying a bracket, you also need to know the exact distance between the holes on the back of the TV

    How to choose the right TV wall mount for the surface material

    Mounting hardware is usually included with the bracket. In most cases, these are dowels. They are able to withstand the same weight load as the bracket itself. However, the strength parameters of fasteners in the standard configuration are determined taking into account walls with sufficient load-bearing capacity. Only concrete and brick surfaces have the necessary properties. In modern buildings for the manufacture of walls, materials with a loose structure are often used, in which it is impossible to securely fix the dowels. Therefore, other fixators will have to be selected.

    If the TV is to be fixed to a plasterboard wall, it is better to use butterfly dowels for this. These retainers can be metal or plastic. Since the plasma panel has an impressive weight, it is advisable to use metal fasteners.

    If the mounting base is hollow or made of loose materials, chemical anchors must be used. Fasteners designed for loose surfaces and walls that crumble have the form of an ampoule or capsule with an adhesive composition, supplemented with a stud or anchor. Clamps for hollow bases, in addition to this set, also have a mesh cylinder. For thin walls, experts recommend using bolts or studs, since the screws and dowels are too long. During installation, they can exit from the other side of the wall.

    Since the screws and dowels are very long, it is recommended to use bolts or studs for thin walls. First, the height is selected. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the type of furniture that is in the room. It is generally accepted that the most comfortable and convenient conditions for watching TV are provided when the middle of its screen is located approximately at eye level. In the living room, people usually sit in armchairs or on a sofa. Given this fact, the optimal installation height of the TV bracket is 1-1.2 m from the floor level.

    The installation height of the TV panel in the bedroom is determined in the same way. In this case, viewing is most often done while lying on the bed, so the mount will be placed lower. However, in a lying position, it is more comfortable to look not straight ahead, but a little higher, so the optimal height for mounting the bracket will be 1 m.

    Important! The specified height should be at the center of the TV screen.

    Optimum viewing distance between TV and furniture:

    TV diagonal size, inch Distance to sofa, m
    26 1-2
    30 1. 1-2.3
    34 1.3-2.6
    42 1.6-3.2
    47 1.8-3.6
    50 1.9-3.8
    55 2.1-3.9
    60 2.3-4.6
    65 2.6-4.9

    How to make a DIY wall mount for a TV

    You can make a supporting structure for a TV wall mount with your own hands from four aluminum corners. The wall thickness of these elements is 0.3 cm, and the minimum width is 2.5 cm. If you choose narrower parts, it will be inconvenient to work with them. Use of steel corners is allowed. They are much stronger, but these parts are more difficult to process.

    Corners are cut off taking into account the distance between the holes for fixing on the back of the TV panel with a small margin (2 cm on each side). The main difficulty is to make holes in the corners that exactly match those on the TV. Otherwise, it will not be possible to hang the device evenly.

    If you have the necessary tools and materials, you can make a TV mount yourself

    On those corners that will be mounted directly on the wall, you can make holes arbitrarily. To install a do-it-yourself TV mount on a concrete wall, you can limit yourself to just two holes. If the base is less durable, you will have to increase the number of fixation points.

    Once the corners on the wall are in the correct position, you need to mark out the areas where the dowels will be installed. Then you need to drill holes and insert plugs. Before hanging the corners, you need to make holes in them for fixing fasteners. To do this, the parts are folded as they will be placed on the wall. Then markings are applied to them and holes of small diameter are formed. The design is now ready for installation.

    It remains only to align the corners so that the holes match, and fix the parts in this position with fasteners. For these purposes, you can use bolts, bicycle spokes, hairpins and other improvised means with a sufficient margin of safety.

    Good advice! Perforated metal corners can be used to eliminate the need to carefully fit the holes. In this case, eight elements are needed. Half of the corners will be fixed to the TV, and the remaining half to the wall. In this case, it is desirable to use bolts of small diameter as clamps.

    Before hanging the manufactured corners on the wall, you need to drill holes in them for fixing fasteners

    How to properly mount the TV to the ceiling

    How to install the mount will depend on the base material. The simplest is the technology of mounting on a concrete surface:

    1. Marking is applied to indicate the points where the bracket will be fixed.
    2. Anchor bolts of the required length and diameter are selected.
    3. According to the size of the anchor bolts, drill holes of the required thickness and depth.
    4. Nuts are tightened, anchor bolts are fixed in the desired positions.
    5. The excess thread above the nuts must be cut off.
    6. After that, the nuts are removed and the fastener is hung.
    7. Wiring in progress.
    8. Attaches the TV and sets the optimum angle of inclination.

    If the room has suspended ceilings, the installation procedure is as follows:

    1. Wiring is done in the space between the ceiling base and the suspended structure.
    2. In areas where the bracket will be fixed, wooden blocks must be fixed.
    3. The suspended structure is sheathed with plasterboard sheets. First, holes must be made in them to bring the wires out.
    4. With the help of anchor bolts, the bracket is fixed, a TV set is installed on it, the required screen tilt angle is set.

    The simplest option is to mount the TV on a ceiling with a concrete surface

    TV Wall Mounting Technology

    TV wall mounts are mounted in the same way. First, a place is selected for installing the bracket, markings are applied to the surface of the wall with a pencil. The easiest way is to draw a line along the bottom edge of the mount. In this case, it is advisable to use the building level so that later the TV hangs evenly. Using a pencil, you need to mark the points where the holes will be drilled.

    For these purposes, you can use a drill or puncher. This process only takes a few minutes. When drilling holes in the wall, it is imperative to take into account the length and diameter of the fasteners. Be careful when doing this, as there may be hidden wiring in the wall. It is advisable to have a communication scheme with you in order to navigate the work process.

    Then use a hammer to hammer the anchors or dowels into the holes. By means of bolts, the plate and the bracket for mounting the TV to the wall are rigidly fixed. After that, you can install the technique itself. It is advisable to do this together. The TV can only be connected after it is carefully and securely fixed, otherwise the operation of the equipment will not be safe.
