All new 4k TVs have a smart platform that includes features and apps. Some manufacturers choose to use proprietary platforms, while others prefer to integrate third-party options like Google TV, Android, or Roku. No matter the case, the selection of apps is great, as most common streaming apps are available on almost all platforms. All smart platforms offer similar features, and choosing one over another depends on personal preference and how you feel while using it. You shouldn’t get a TV only based on its smart platform either, as you still want something with good picture quality.
We’ve bought and tested more than 390 TVs, and below are our recommendations for the best smart televisions you can buy. See our picks for the best Roku TVs, the best TVs, and the best 4k TVs. Most brands have started releasing their 2023 lineups, so make sure to vote on which ones you want us to buy and test. To learn more about the 2023 models, check out our 2023 TV lineup page.

The best smart TV we’ve tested is the Samsung S95B OLED. It’s an amazing TV with a great selection of smart features, including support for Bixby, Google Assistant, and Alexa voice assistants. This means you can choose your preferred platform and spend less time searching for content and more time enjoying your new TV. If you don’t want to use voice assistants, the Tizen interface is well-organized, fast, and easy to use, and it has a huge selection of streaming apps, so you can quickly find your favorite shows.
Like all OLEDs, the TV looks great in a dark room, but it’s no slouch in a bright room either; it gets bright enough to overcome glare and bright lights, and its reflection handling is fantastic. Of course, you get perfect black levels when using it in a dark room thanks to its near-infinite contrast ratio, and there’s no distracting blooming around bright objects in dark scenes. It’s been replaced by the Samsung S95C OLED, but the new model isn’t much of an improvement in picture quality, and it’s more expensive, so it’s better to get the 2022 model while it’s still readily available.

Although the Samsung S95B OLED is the best choice for most users, if you have a home theater and want the best experience, consider the more expensive Sony A95K OLED. It delivers similar picture quality to the Samsung, using the same QD-OLED panel.
Still, the Sony TV is more accurate overall and has better image processing capabilities, so it displays scenes exactly as its creator intended. It has advanced audio and video format support, like Dolby Vision HDR support, which is more widely supported than the competing HDR10+ format on the Samsung model. You’ll get the best HDR experience possible from more content.
The A95K is also no slouch when it comes to smart features. It runs the built-in Google TV interface, which is slower than Samsung’s Tizen OS but has more features and a wider selection of streaming apps. It supports hands-free voice control, so you can find your favorite content without the remote or use the voice assistant to control your other devices.

If you’re looking for the best TV for streaming in the upper mid-range price category, check out the Samsung QN90B QLED. Unlike our top two picks, this TV isn’t an OLED, and as such, it doesn’t look nearly as good in a dark room due to more blooming around bright objects in darker scenes, including around subtitles.
However, it looks much better in well-lit rooms thanks to its incredibly bright mini LED backlight, making it an excellent choice for a bright viewing environment. It’s even bright enough to use outdoors but isn’t weather-proof, so you’ll need an appropriate enclosure.
The QN90B has a wide viewing angle, which is great if you have a wide seating arrangement or if you like to move around with the TV on, as the image doesn’t fade or look washed out when viewing it from the sides. As far as smart features go, it’s identical to the Samsung S95B OLED, with the same great Tizen OS interface. There’s a huge selection of streaming apps, and the remote makes it easy to find your favorite content thanks to its built-in support for different voice assistants.

If you want an OLED but want something a bit more affordable, consider the LG C2 OLED. It uses a WOLED panel, which isn’t as bright or as colorful as the QD-OLED found in the Samsung S95B OLED or Sony A95K OLED, so highlights don’t pop as much in HDR, and colors aren’t as vivid.
But, the LG offers the same near-infinite contrast that OLEDs are known for, making it a fantastic choice in dark rooms. In terms of its smart features, LG’s proprietary webOS smart platform is excellent as it’s easy to use, and navigating through it feels smooth. LG’s remotes are unique because they have a point-and-press feature, similar to a Nintendo Wii remote, that lets you easily choose apps and settings in the menu, saving you the hassle of scrolling through everything with a directional pad.
The webOS smart platform also allows customization with different profiles, so you can have a different layout than someone else at home. The LG C3 OLED is now out, but it’s only a marginal improvement over the C2 and isn’t worth the price difference, except if you want DTS audio format support.

If you want something cheaper but aren’t necessarily on a budget, consider the Hisense U8H. It’s a clear step down from the LG C2 OLED regarding picture quality as it doesn’t deliver the same perfect blacks, but it’s still an impressive TV that outperforms any other TV in its price range.
Unlike the LG, the Hisense runs Google TV as its built-in smart interface, which has many apps available to download through the Google Play Store, so you’re sure to find your favorite content. Google TV can take some time to learn, but once you do, it’s easy to use, and navigating the menu feels smooth.
It also supports hands-free voice control, which makes it easy to find your favorite content, as you can ask it to search the name of your show or open a specific streaming app without even picking up the remote. Regarding picture quality, it gets incredibly bright and has excellent reflection handling, so it can easily overcome glare in a bright room. Unfortunately, it has a narrow viewing angle, so it isn’t good for watching shows with a wide seating arrangement, as the image degrades as you move off-center.

If you’re on a budget, the best budget smart TV we’ve tested is the TCL 5 Series/S555 2022 QLED. Compared with the Hisense U8H, the main trade-off is that this TV doesn’t get as bright, so highlights don’t pop as much in HDR, which is expected for a budget-friendly model.
It also has worse reflection handling, so it’s better to use in a dark room, where it displays deep blacks thanks to its full-array local dimming feature. Unfortunately, there’s some blooming around bright objects. It has some good processing features, with great gradient handling, and displays most content the way the creator intended.
The TV runs the Roku OS interface, which is very simple to use and has a great selection of streaming channels. The included remote is basic and doesn’t support voice control, which is disappointing if you want to quickly search for something. However, the Roku companion app is well-made. It offers a few unique convenience features, including a private listening feature that lets you send the audio from the native apps to your phone.

If you want something cheap that gets the job done, the Hisense A6H is the best cheap smart TV we’ve tested. It’s a basic TV that delivers worse picture quality than the TCL 5 Series/S555 2022 QLED, but this is typical of cheap models.
It also isn’t as good in a dark room as blacks are washed out, and by going with a cheap TV, you’re losing out on advanced features like local dimming to improve the appearance of dark scenes. However, unlike the TCL, it has a wide viewing angle, which is great if you watch TV while walking around, as the image remains consistent when viewed from the sides.
It runs the same Google TV smart interface as the Hisense U8H, which has one of the widest streaming app selections, so you can easily find your favorite shows and movies. It makes it a great choice for an office or guest bedroom, as your guests can watch their favorite shows without you having to worry about buying an extra streaming stick.

Notable Mentions
- Samsung QN90C/QN90CD QLED:
The Samsung Q90NC/QN90CD QLED is a newer version of the Samsung QN90B QLED, but it’s a downgrade in some areas as it has a lower contrast ratio and more blooming but better processing.Get the QN90B while it’s cheaper, but the QN90C is still a good alternative.
See our review - LG B2 OLED:
The LG B2 OLED is a lower-end model than the LG C2 OLED. It’s almost as bright as its bigger brother, but has worse processing capabilities, is available in only three model sizes, and only supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on two of its HDMI ports. However, it’s cheaper than the C2, so if you don’t need the added features or model sizes of the higher-end model, the B2 is the better value.
See our review - Samsung The Terrace:
The Samsung The Terrace is the best choice if you’re looking for a TV to stream shows in an outdoor space. It’s a rugged outdoor TV with incredibly high peak brightness and a weather-proof frame. However, it costs much more than the Samsung QN90B QLED, so only consider it if you want an outdoor smart TV.
See our review - TCL 4 Series/S455 2022:
The TCL 4 Series/S455 2022 is a cheap TV that’s an alternative to the Hisense A6H if you want something with Roku TV, but it has worse image accuracy and viewing angles.
See our review - LG G3 OLED:
The LG G3 OLED has an amazing HDR peak brightness and is a great home theater choice with its advanced audio and video format support. However, its processing capabilities are sub-par compared to the Sony A95K OLED.
See our review - Samsung S90C OLED:
The Samsung S90C OLED is basically a repackaged Samsung S95B OLED but with official 4k @ 144Hz support, the 2023 version of Tizen OS, and is available in a 77-inch size. Unless you’re specifically shopping for a 77-inch model, just get the cheapest.

What Is A Smart TV?
A smart TV is a television connected to the internet that provides web-related features. There are built-in apps for streaming, and there’s usually an app store where you can download your favorite apps. Built-in smart platforms are similar to streaming boxes from Apple and Roku, and while smart TVs were once slower, they’ve since equaled the performance of a streaming box.
Not only does almost every TV include smart features, but most of them are also pretty good. LG’s webOS and TCL’s Roku stand out for their quality. However, most shoppers will be pleased by the features of any of the smart platforms. Don’t fret too much about features if you’re shopping for a TV because the picture quality is still more important. Instead, focus on the picture quality or other features that complement your usage, and you’ll get much closer to finding your perfect TV that way.

All Reviews
Our recommendations are based on what we think are the best TVs for streaming currently available with smart features. They are adapted to be valid for most people in each price range. Rating is based on our review, factoring in price, and feedback from our visitors.
If you would like to do the work of choosing yourself, here is the list of all our reviews of smart TVs. Be careful not to get too caught up in the details. While no TV is perfect, most TVs are great enough to please almost everyone, and the differences are often not noticeable unless you really look for them.
Best Smart TV for 2023: Top Picks From Roku, Amazon, Google and More
These days, most new TVs are smart and let you stream services like Netflix and Disney Plus without needing a dedicated streaming device like a Roku. However, it can be hard to distinguish what separates a good smart TV from the best smart TVs out there, so we’re here to help.
While our reviews take smart TV systems into account, we think that picture quality for the money is usually more important when purchasing a new TV. That’s because you can always “replace” the TV’s built-in system with a good streaming device, most of which cost less than $50. The exception is for budget TVs, where the price of the streaming device could make up a significant percentage of the cost — for this list, unlike our main best TVs list — we weighted the importance of the smart TV system higher for budget models we had reviewed.
Our list below is generally arranged in order of which TVs provide the best picture for the money, but we also note how much we like (or dislike) the built-in smart TV system.
What is the best smart TV right now?
The TCL 6-Series Roku TV sits at the top of our list of best TVs and smart TVs for a number of reasons. It offers superb picture quality, an affordable price tag and Roku, the best smart TV system. It also includes gaming features like 4K/120Hz input and variable refresh rate that can get the most out of consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X. When a friend asks me what TV to buy from 55 to 85 inches, and money is still an object, I tell them to get the TCL 6-Series.
There are plenty of other excellent choices out there, however, so even though the 6-Series is my current favorite for most people, it might not be right for your preferences or budget.

How CNET tests smart TVs
Our TV reviews follow a rigorous, unbiased evaluation process honed over nearly two decades of TV reviews. Our primary TV test lab has specialized equipment for measuring light and color, including a Konica Minolta CS-2000 spectroradiometer, a Murideo Sig-G 4K HDR signal generator and an AVPro Connect 8×8 4K HDR distribution matrix. We use Portrait Displays CalMan Ultimate software to evaluate every TV we review. In every CNET TV review, three or more similar TVs are compared side by side in various lighting conditions playing different media, including movies, TV shows and games, across a variety of test categories, from color to video processing to gaming to HDR. Our reviews also account for design, features, smart TV performance, HDMI input and gaming compatibility, and other factors.
One important aspect of image quality we test is overall brightness. Here’s how it compares in nits across select TVs listed above.

How to choose a TV
With all of the TVs available today, and all of the technical terms and jargon associated with television technology, it can be tough to figure out what’s important. Here’s a quick guide to help cut through the confusion.
Price: TVs range in price from $100 to more than $2,000. Smaller screens are cheaper, well-known brands are more expensive and spending more money can also get you better image quality. Most entry-level TVs have a good enough picture for most people, but TVs last a long time, so it might be worth spending more to get a better picture. It’s also best to shop for a TV in the fall, when prices are lower.
Screen size: Bigger is better in our book. We recommend a size of at least 43 inches for a bedroom TV and at least 55 inches for a living room or main TV — and 65 inches or larger is best. More than any other “feature,” stepping up in TV screen size is the best use of your money. One of the most common post-TV-purchase complaints we’ve heard is from people who didn’t go big enough. And we almost never hear people complain that their TV is too large.
Capability: Among entry-level TVs the most important feature is what kind of smart TV system the TV uses. Among midrange models, look for a feature including full-array local dimming, mini-LED and 120Hz refresh rate, which (unlike some other extras) do help improve the picture in our experience. And among high-end TVs, OLED technology is your best bet.

Smart TV rating 2022: the best Smart TVs
Most modern TVs allow you to access the Internet, run games and streaming services. But there are smart TVs on the market with different operating systems and a set of features. How to understand all this diversity and which TV to choose in 2022? We offer a rating of smart TVs: with it it will be easier to understand what you should pay attention to when buying.
Contents
How to choose the best smart TV
Types of smart TV operating systems
Smart TV rating
To watch online video
It is important to pay attention to the presence of applications of popular platforms and cinemas in TV firmware and access to the app store. For example, the Android TV platform allows you to download any application from the store, while Salyut TV has a limited list of pre-installed services (Okko, MEGOGO, ivi, Wink, more.tv and KION). The list is large, so even these applications may be enough. But it’s better to find out about the limitations in advance – look at the review of a specific model on the Internet or ask the seller.
To view online content, the best smart TVs must be equipped with at least Wi-Fi for wireless connection, and at most an Ethernet port for direct connection to the Internet. Then there will be no interruptions in communication (unless it is the fault of the provider).
To play files from a flash drive or hard drive
Smart functionality is not required, but the best smart TVs should have both the necessary set of ports and a high-quality built-in media player with support for all popular audio and video formats (mp3, aac, mpeg4, mkv, avi, etc.). If you are going to watch movies in high definition (for example, 4K), then the TV must also support this resolution.
Special attention should be paid to support for audio formats and sound enhancement technologies (for example, Dolby Digital or Dolby Atmos) that create surround theater sound when connected to a home theater system or with high-quality built-in speakers in the TV itself. The best smart TVs usually have a special sound-optimized movie mode that automatically applies the optimal settings when it detects movie playback.
For games
Modern smart TVs can not only automatically detect connected consoles, but also switch to special game modes. These modes reduce latency (ideally no more than 30ms), increase brightness and contrast, and also enable some specific settings such as variable refresh rates. Not only the gaming experience of a gamer, but also success in games can depend on the quality of the operating system of such a TV and its software in general: in the same shooters, the minimum delay and stable frame refresh rate are very important.
To control home appliances
Some smart TVs can act as a central hub to control appliances of the same brand. In such cases, it is important to pay attention to the presence of such functions and special sections in the menu. It would also be useful to have voice control and applications for smartphones and tablets, or at least the ability to connect them to a TV in one form or another.
So that a smart TV does not slow down (and this happens, especially with budget models), it is important to look at the technical parameters. Choose models with a minimum amount of RAM from 2 GB (and 4 GB internal). More is better.
There are many operating systems in TVs now, but we will focus on the main ones.
-
Android TV
One of the most popular platforms today. It offers almost everything the same as an Android smartphone or tablet, only in TV format. In addition to large-screen optimized online movie theater apps, these TVs typically support installing apps from stores or downloading apps from any third-party source. You can also connect external devices to them: for example, a keyboard, gamepad or mouse.
Such a TV is a kind of Android-based computer with almost limitless functionality. But, as in Android smartphones, the quality and stability of the software can vary greatly from model to model.
-
Tizen OS
Only used in Samsung TVs. In addition to supporting applications, many smart modes and settings, this operating system offers deep integration with Samsung’s proprietary smart home platform. For example, from TV you can control all smart gadgets in the apartment: turn on the air conditioner, read messages from the refrigerator, check the alarm.
Tizen also has a simpler interface than Android TV, and looks more familiar, TV, without a bunch of additional features and settings. The advantage is the speed of work and stability, the disadvantage is the limited support for codecs and the ability to install applications only through the company store.
-
WebOS
Features a minimalist interface and is pre-installed on LG TVs.
It also supports the connection of smartphones and tablets, and is able to control the smart technology of the brand. But the app store is not very rich in choice, and the system itself is not as flexible as its competitors. At the same time, the system offers rich multimedia capabilities and advanced multitasking, and LG TVs are often the choice of those users who need the most advanced gaming features.
-
Harmony OS
Developed by Huawei. Under this OS, TVs from a Chinese company work (or rather smart screens, because they do not have a TV tuner). The OS offers deep integration with the brand’s tablets and smartphones running the same system. For example, a user can answer a call from a TV. But without an Internet connection, such TVs are practically useless.
-
Yandex TV
Found in many inexpensive devices. The platform is notable primarily for the presence of the voice assistant Alice, which allows you to control the TV using your voice.
Naturally, the OS supports all major Yandex services (for example, Kinopoisk HD, Yandex.Music) and other popular Russian applications.
-
Salyut TV
Platform from Sberbank. It offers almost the same as Yandex TV, only instead of Yandex services, the services of Sberbank, VK and partner companies are preinstalled here. Salyut voice assistants, SberPlay branded cloud gaming service, Okko online cinema and Sber.Zvuk are the main advantages of such TVs. Just like Yandex TV, it supports smart home device management.
-
VIDAA
This platform is used in Hisense TVs. It is not yet well optimized for the Russian user. The platform does not yet have all the popular online services, so it is limited in functionality. But TVs with VIDAA on board will suit those who are not looking for overly big features. YouTube and MEGOGO are pre-installed here – perhaps many users will have enough of these applications.
LED TV 32″ Hi VHIX-32h281MSY
Platform: Yandex TV
Diagonal and resolution: 32 inches, 1366×768
Ports and connections: 3 x HDMI, USB, component, coa axial, Ethernet, Wi- Fi
View product
A small and inexpensive TV that will definitely find a place in the kitchen or in the bedroom. The resolution is low: only 1366 × 768 with a diagonal of 32 inches. But this is not critical if you watch TV at a distance of at least a couple of meters from the screen. The presence of voice control through Alice and the Yandex TV platform will allow you to find the answer to any question, turn on the desired channel or series for the evening even without a remote control – a voice command is enough.
Three HDMI ports allow you to connect set-top boxes, consoles, players to the device, and thanks to the USB port, the user can watch movies from hard drives and flash drives. Internet access via Wi-Fi and Ethernet – in general, a complete set.
Pluses: a wide range of ports, voice control.
Cons: low resolution, software can slow down.
LED TV 50″ Hi VHIX-50U169TSY Titanium
Platform: Yandex TV
Diagonal and resolution: 50 inches, 4K
Ports and connections: RCA, 3 x HDMI, 2 x USB, coaxial, Ethernet, Wi-Fi
View product
This device from the same brand can already be considered as a living room TV. On the big screen, it is comfortable to watch movies and TV shows in high quality: here the resolution is 4K Ultra HD (3840 × 2160) with a diagonal of 50 inches, this is the modern standard.
Content is available both online (through streaming services) and from a flash drive. The case has three HDMI ports and two USB ports: they allow you to connect many devices to the TV – for example, several consoles and players at the same time. Voice control through Alice and the Yandex TV platform are available.
Pros: high resolution, voice control, lots of ports.
Cons: Online content is slow to load over Wi-Fi – better to use Ethernet.
LED TV 43″ Hi VHIX-43U169MSS Salute
Platform: Salyut TV
Diagonal and resolution: 43 inches, 4K
Ports and connections: RCA, 3 x HDMI, 2 x USB , coaxial, Ethernet, Wi -Fi, Bluetooth
View product
An intermediate option between the previous two devices in terms of size, but not in terms of characteristics. With a diagonal of 43 inches, the TV will produce a clear picture even from a close distance – thanks to 4K resolution and high pixel density at a small diagonal. Of the useful functions, it is worth noting Time Shift – with its help, the user can record TV broadcasts on a flash drive or hard drive.
The Salyut TV platform from Sberbank is used here. Three virtual assistants “live” in it at once, which differ from each other not only in voice, but also in character. For example, an assistant named Joy will delight you with jokes and informal communication, and Athena will answer all questions as seriously as possible.
Pros: high resolution, stable and fast software.
Cons: slow Wi-Fi, confusing TV channel setup.
Ultra HD (4K) LED TV 50″ Sber SBX-50U219TSS
Platform: Salyut TV
Diagonal and resolution: 50 inches, 4K
Ports and connections: RCA, 3 x HDMI, 2 x USB, coaxial, optical, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DVB Cam

Another product on the Sber platform, but this time at the flagship level. 50 inches, 4K, three HDMIs, 2 USBs – a complete set for entertainment and connecting peripherals. Voice control through Salyut assistants with three different voices and characters will appeal to older users who do not have to press something on the remote control or the TV itself. Children will also appreciate communication with virtual assistants. You can connect to the Internet both via Wi-Fi and using a wire – in the latter case, the connection will be more stable.
Pros: large screen with high resolution, integration with Sber services.
Cons: no HDR support, sometimes slows down.
LED TV 43″ Samsung UE43T5272AUXRU
Platform: Tizen OS
Diagonal and resolution: 43 inches, Full HD
Ports and connections: RCA, HDMI, USB, component, optical, Wi-Fi, DVB Cam
Watch product
One of Samsung’s most inexpensive but advanced smart TVs offers a 43-inch diagonal. The TV will fit well in the bedroom or even the living room, because 43 inches is the optimal size for these rooms. True, there are several nuances here. Firstly, Full HD resolution is the standard of yesteryear. At the same time, even it will be more than enough to watch terrestrial and digital TV: it is in this resolution that broadcasting takes place. Secondly, the TV has only one HDMI port and one USB port – it will not be possible to connect several additional devices at once, such as consoles or media players. So you have to choose which device is more important.
Pros: fast and convenient operating system.
Cons: few ports for connecting peripherals, not the highest resolution.

Model for more demanding users. With the same diagonal, 43 inches already offers 4K resolution (provides a clearer image), and also supports HDR (increased contrast) – ideal for watching the latest movies, series and games. The number of ports matches: there are already three HDMIs for connecting consoles and players, but still one USB for connecting external hard drives and peripherals. And 20 watts of sound is a nice bonus for those who like to make it louder. With such powerful built-in speakers, you do not have to install additional external ones.
Pros: Plenty of HDMI ports, high screen resolution, powerful sound.
Cons: inconvenient remote control, only one USB.

Another model for fans of large diagonals (here 50 inches). In terms of characteristics, it does not differ much from the previous TV from the selection, except that there is one less HDMI port, but there is RCA (in other words, a “tulip” for connecting audio and video equipment) and an optical connection. The rest is the same high-quality TV for the living room with a smart and advanced operating system. The choice between them follows from the need for specific ports for connecting devices.
Pros: fast OS, variety of ports.
Cons: inconvenient remote control, only one USB.
LED TV 32″ LG 32LM576BPLD
Platform: WebOS
Diagonal and resolution: 32 inches, 1366×768, HDR
Ports and connections: 2 x HDMI, USB, component, composite, op tic, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi -Fi, DVB Cam
View product
The screen resolution of this model is low by today’s standards: 1366×768 pixels with a diagonal of 32 inches. Because of this, image clarity will suffer, users with good eyesight will see pixels while watching a movie. But the TV boasts HDR support in HDR10 and HLG formats – you rarely see this in more expensive models. These features allow the display to convey a large difference in brightness between dark and bright areas of the picture. In other words, the audience will see what is happening on the screen, even if the hero of the film walks through dark dungeons.
Despite the low resolution and small diagonal, this TV will be a good choice for a kitchen or country house. Here is webOS with the ability to install applications from the company store. So the user will not lack content.
Pros: HDR support, 2 HDMI ports.
Cons: low resolution.

Big TV with big features. 50 inches and 4K with HDR is the standard for models of this level, but the number of smart chips here surpasses many competitors. For example, there is a special director’s cinematic mode for watching movies. It optimizes the image and turns off all unnecessary to display the picture as the creators intended it, with minimal interference with color reproduction. Games are also in order: there is a decrease in the delay when starting games and optimization for such genres as FPS, RPG and RTS.
Pros: optimized for games and movies, high resolution.
Cons: too many functions – can be confusing.

Another model from LG with a diagonal of 50 inches and 4K resolution. But this 2022 TV has a more powerful image processor than the model above. Therefore, it offers not only improved image and sound optimization functions, but also upscaling for video – the resolution is increased without losing quality. This feature turns blurry old recordings (for example, in HD) into sharper (4K), brighter and more contrast. In addition, the TV works faster – the menu does not slow down.
Pros: powerful processor, upscaling function.
Cons: still overloaded with features.

The model differs from the previous TV only in screen size, so it will suit those who are looking for a really large TV for the living room or bedroom. Otherwise, everything is the same: excellent picture quality optimized for movies or games, a lot of smart features and technologies to improve the picture and sound quality. A true home entertainment center.
Pros: optimized for games and movies, high resolution.
Cons: too many functions – can be confusing.

Another 50-inch 4K HDR TV from Philips. TVs of this brand are known for their proprietary Ambilight backlight, which creates an additional immersive effect, literally bringing the image beyond the screen. A special system synchronizes the image on the screen with the backlight, as a result of which the same color scheme is displayed on the wall as on the display. It seems that the TV is 5-6 inches larger than it actually is. For complete immersion, support for Dolby Atmos technology is also provided. It is responsible for surround sound when connecting additional speakers.
Pros: four HDMI and 2 USB ports, smart lighting.
Cons: inconvenient remote control with a bunch of extra buttons.

This model is also based on the Android TV platform and offers full access to any applications and services directly from the screen. Like the previous TV, it is equipped with a smart backlight that synchronizes with the image. The large screen (55 inches) and the presence of four HDMI ports with two USBs make the TV the best solution for connecting any devices and creating a home theater. The resolution is as high as that of the “little brother”: 4K with HDR support – the contrast is on top here.
Pros: four HDMI and 2 USB ports, smart lighting.
Cons: inconvenient remote control, the system slows down.

Universal solution for small rooms. The resolution for such a diagonal is optimal. If you watch TV from a distance of 1.5–2 meters, the clarity of the picture will not suffer. The presence of Android TV allows you to use any applications and install new ones from anywhere – both from stores and from flash drives or memory cards, which are also supported here. But there is only one HDMI port. If you have multiple consoles, you will need to connect them one by one.
Pros: support for memory cards, voice control.
Cons: The OS sometimes slows down.

Same manufacturer, same diagonal, but much improved image quality (4K, HDR) with sharper picture quality and better display of the brightest and darkest parts of the image. Suitable for those who like to sit closer to the TV or play a set-top box connected to it. But there is also only one HDMI port, so if you plan to connect something else besides the console, you will have to sacrifice something.
Pros: HDR support, voice control.
Cons: the system freezes.
Ultra HD (4K) LED TV 55″ Vityaz 55LU1207 Smart
Platform: Android TV , coaxial, ethernet, Wi-Fi

One of the most affordable TVs with this diagonal and 4K resolution. In addition to these advantages, it offers an Android TV platform with support for any applications and games, as well as a decent set of ports for connecting consoles, players, flash drives and hard drives – three HDMIs, two USBs.
But the brightness is low (only 250 cd/m², while 400 is usually the standard for such panels) and not too powerful stuffing for a system with such a high resolution – users complain that sometimes the TV can slow down.
Pros: high resolution, large diagonal, multiple HDMI ports.
Cons: system freezes, low brightness.
