AMD started Radeon RX 480 sales on June 29, 2016 at a suggested price of $229.
This is a desktop card based on the Polaris architecture and 14 nm manufacturing process, primarily aimed at gamers. It has 8 GB of GDDR5 memory at 8 GHz, and coupled with a 256-bit interface, this creates a bandwidth of 224 GB / s.
In terms of compatibility, this is a two-slot PCIe 3.0 x16 card. The length of the reference version is 241 mm. An additional 1x 6-pin power cable is required for connection, and the power consumption is 150 watts.
