Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
Eric Zeman / Android Authority
The Samsung Galaxy S21 series is excellent, but most Samsung fans know the best value comes from their FE versions. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE offers amazing bang per buck, featuring most of what we loved from the other S21 devices, but with a lighter price tag, making it one of the best Metro phones you can find.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE features an excellent 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is hard to find in this price range. Other great specs include a Snapdragon 888, plenty of RAM, a triple-camera system, and a healthy 4,500mAh battery. The design and build quality aren’t as fancy as the higher-end versions, but it still shows the Samsung look we know many of you love.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE specs:
- Display: 6.4-inch, Full HD+
- SoC: Snapdragon 888
- RAM: 6/8GB
- Storage: 128/256GB

Apple iPhone SE (2022)
Ryan Haines / Android Authority
Budget premium phones were all the rage, with plenty of devices now offering fantastic quality at very accessible price points. One of the best bang-per-buck offerings is the iPhone SE, and Apple has a new version for 2022. Metro offers the iPhone SE right now, and it’s easily one of the best Metro phones.
Apple’s iPhone SE offers the Apple promise at a $430 MSRP. It includes the familiar glass and metal design we saw on the iPhone 8 and has a very competitive single-lens camera. Users will also love that Apple didn’t skimp out on the processor, as the iPhone SE uses the same Apple A15 Bionic processor we see in iPhone 13 handsets. Other benefits include wireless charging and an IP67 rating, two features most budget devices lack.
Apple iPhone SE specs:
- Display: 4.7-inch, 1,334 x 750
- SoC: Apple A15 Bionic
- RAM: 4GB
- Storage: 64/128/256GB
- Camera: 12MP
- Front camera: 7MP
- Battery: 2,018mAh
- Software: iOS 15.4

Released as an upgrade to the Galaxy A52, the Samsung Galaxy A53 is an excellent option for those who want to get into the 5G game on the cheap. And this is no slouch, despite its lower price point, which is why it joins the best Metro by T-Mobile phone list.
The Exynos 1280 chipset is quite powerful and more than suitable for most people. There’s also a quad-camera array at the back, a large 5,000mAh battery, and a lovely AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung Galaxy A53 specs:
- Display: 6.5-inch, Full HD+
- Chipset: Exynos 1280
- RAM: 4/6/8GB
- Storage: 128/256GB

Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022)
Eric Zeman / Android Authority
Motorola’s Moto G Stylus 5G is a member of its affordable G-series and among the best cheap phones. It is an excellent alternative if you want great functionality and a stylus without busting the bank. Motorola also brought the huge 5,000mAh battery over from its Moto G Power, so you should have no problems lasting through the day.
Otherwise, the Moto G Stylus also has a 6.8-inch Full HD+ screen, a Snapdragon 695 processor, 8GB of RAM, and even a triple-camera array. The phone is still estimated to last for two days on a single charge, and you won’t find another device with as powerful a stylus at this price.
Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) specs:
- Display: 6.8-inch, Full HD+
- Chipset: Snapdragon 695
- RAM: 8GB
- Storage: 256GB
- Cameras: 50, 8, and 2MP
- Front camera: 16MP
- Battery: 5,000mAh
- Software: Android 12

Ryan Haines / Android Authority
Another Metro by T-Mobile phone for your consideration is the OnePlus Nord N300. It’s among the carrier’s most affordable options, yet it packs a crisp 90Hz display and comes ready for speedy 5G. While the Nord N300 isn’t the most powerful phone, and we didn’t like its construction or camera, your wallet will thank you, and the massive 5,000mAh battery can take you a long way.
The Nord N300 also keeps a favorite feature that you won’t find on too many phones nowadays — a headphone jack. You can bring your favorite wired headphones along and store plenty of songs on 64GB of internal storage. If that’s not enough, the device also has a microSD card slot.

Buy Refurbished & Used MetroPCS phone for Sale
Why should you buy a used or refurbished Metro PCS phone?
A refurbished Metro PCS phone functions precisely like a new one. Why pay more? It will save you a lot of money buying a refurbished Metro PCS phone. More importantly, it reduces e-waste and makes our planet a better place. Buying a refurbished Metro PCS phone is a smart choice.
What are the differences between Used and Refurbished phone?
Technically, they are divided into four categories: Used, Refurbished, Certified Used, and Certified Refurbished. A Used phone means that the phone is used and sold as-is. It’s the most common term being used in eBay, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, and other marketplaces. Because of the popularity of this term, even professional sellers or merchants may use the same term, although their products are technically Certified Used phones or Certified Refurbished phones. A Refurbished phone means that the phone is used and has been refurbished to a sellable condition. To clarify, “Refurbishment” doesn’t always mean opening up the phone and repair. Sometimes it may refer to basic cleaning without disassembling the phone. A Certified Used phone means that the phone is used and has been certified by a professional seller or merchant. The certification requires a rigorous inspection process to ensure all functionalities work fine. The test items include but are not limited to Power, Display, Touchscreen, Cellular, WIFI, Sensors, Speaker, Receiver, Bluetooth, Charging Port, Audio Port, etc. In addition to the functionality test, it also runs the background check to make sure the phone is not blacklisted, lost or stolen, or still under a finance plan. That guarantees you a fully functional and safe-to-use phone. Remember, a Certified Used phone should only come from a professional seller. All phones listed on UpTrade are Certified Used or Certified Refurbished. So if you see some person claiming that they have a Certified Used phone for sale on Craigslist or other open marketplaces, it’s probably not true. A Certified Refurbished phone means that a phone is used and has been refurbished by a professional seller.
Same as Certified Used phone, Certified Refurbished phone also requires a rigorous inspection process. There is no real difference between Certified Used and Certified Refurbished. Some professional sellers prefer using the term Certified Refurbished phone, and others like another. Last but not least, pay attention to the seller instead of the term. Each seller may have its definition and use the words differently. As long as the phone is being sold by a reputable professional seller, it doesn’t matter whether it’s called Used, Refurbished, Certified Used, or Certified Refurbished. The quality of the phone is good. Vice versa, getting a phone from an open marketplace or someone you don’t know is risky. No matter how highly they say about the phone, you still risk getting scammed. Therefore, at UpTrade, we felt the necessity to have a marketplace showing the products from Reputable Professional Sellers and Merchants only. So you can rest assured of finding a good deal on a used phone with excellent quality at UpTrade.
What does UpTrade Certified Used mean?
UpTrade Certified means you can trust that your used Metro PCS phone will function just as well as a new device. Among hundreds of used phone sellers, we have chosen a modest bunch of reputable sellers and marketplaces that are capable of providing high-quality used and refurbished phones. An UpTrade Certified Used Metro PCS phone means it has passed a rigorous inspection and functions like a new one.
What is the return policy for the Used and Refurbished Metro PCS phone?
No worries if you are not 100% satisfied with the device you have received! Each phone is granted a 30-day trial period in which buyers may return the used device to the UpTrade Certified Seller for a refund within the first 30 days.
Does Refurbished Metro PCS phone perform as well as the new?
For the most part, there is no definite difference between a new phone and a used one, aside from one previously used by another owner. All used phones listed on UpTrade must pass a rigorous inspection to guarantee quality and product performance. Refurbished devices certified by UpTrade work just as well as new, ordinary store-bought phones.
