I bought this a little over a month ago & I really like it. It looks very sleek & easy to use. My other LG appliances ( stove, refrigerator, dishwasher & Washer & Dryer) that I bought along with the microwave all can be linked with Alexa & the microwave can’t, which is disappointing. Hoping they do a software update soon in the LG ThinQ app that will allow you to sync it with Alexa. Other than that I do HIGHLY RECOMMEND this LG microwave.

Does the vent recirculate the air back into the kitchen, or vent to outside the house?

The LG 2.1 cu. ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with ExtendaVent® 2.0 & EasyClean®, Model # MVEL2137D can be vented in one of three ways, However, do NOT vent into a wall cavity, an attic or an unused area.
• Roof-venting If your oven is located on an outside wall near the roof,
• Wall-venting If your oven is located on an outside wall of your house,
• Room-venting If your oven is located on an inside wall of your house.
If you choose the rear exhaust method (roof or wall-venting), be sure there is enough clearance within the wall for the exhaust duct.
The Room-venting option recirculates the air within the room.
The microwave oven is shipped with the blower assembled for room-vented. Ivan
