How to add the  (Apple) symbol to your iPhone or iPad keyboard

Starting in 2014, the Apple logo – that very bitten apple – has become an archival thing. Now Cupertinians use it directly in the names of new products! A striking example is the smart watch  Watch. This is both an elegant and practical solution – the icon is much more visual and replaces 5 letters at once.

One trouble – if on Mac it is not difficult to “depict” an apple from Cupertino, then on the iOS keyboard such a character cannot be typed with all the desire. If you still want to use the “apple” logo in correspondence with the iPhone or iPad – below we offer a simple instruction on how to add the  sign to your smartphone or tablet from Apple.

All you have to do is email the character to your iPhone/iPad (or copy it on this page) and add it to your iOS keyboard shortcuts.

💚 BY TOPIC: How to view purchase (download) history in the App Store on iPhone and iPad by date.

1. Type the  icon on your Mac computer. To do this, switch to the English layout and hold down the keys ⌥Option (Alt) + ⇧Shift + K . If nothing happens, make sure that the system default font is Helvetica, as not all fonts have an “apple” logo.

If you have a Windows computer, it’s okay, just copy the  logo directly from this article by visiting this page on your iPhone or iPad.

You can also send the logo to your mobile device by email, send the logo to yourself or use the Handoff feature (Apple users only).

2. Open the application Settings and go to the path General , then Keyboard and Text Replacement .

6. Click the + icon at the top right of the screen.

7. In field Phrase insert (long tap, then Insert ) Apple logo . In the field Abbreviation , enter a word or several letters – in the process of typing they will automatically turn into the desired “apple”. In our case, the abbreviation word is “Apple”.

8 . Click Save .

Done! Now go to any text exchange application and try the reduction in action. All you need to do is type the abbreviation that you came up with on the keyboard. iOS will immediately prompt you to substitute the Apple logo. To do this, just hit the space bar.

How to add the  symbol, or any other symbol, to the keyboard of an iPhone or any iOS device I MacTime Blog

The Apple logo has been a big thing since the beginning of 2014. Developers have now begun to use the same bitten apple in the names of their products. One example is smart watch  Watch. This solution is very practical. The symbol looks very stylish and replaces 5 letters in the name at once.

There is a small problem – on the Mac it is quite easy to put the Apple symbol, but on the iOS keyboard this character cannot be typed. But there is a solution! If you want to use the “bitten apple” in your iPhone or iPad conversations, below we share a simple tip on how to add the Apple logo to your iOS smartphone or tablet.

You just need to copy the “” sign from our article and add it to the iOS keyboard shortcuts.

To do this, follow a few simple steps:

  • Open the Safari browser from your iPhone or iPad.
  • Visit this article.
  • Copy the “” icon from it (press the logo, release and click “Copy”).
  • Go to your device settings.
  • Select “Keyboard” and then “Text Replacement”.
  • Click on the “+”.
  • Insert an Apple symbol in the Phrase field (lightly press an empty field and select the Insert button. A  icon will appear in the correct place).
  • In the “Abbreviation” column, enter a word or letters that, in the process of typing, will turn into a bitten apple.
  • Save changes.

Everything is ready! Now you can go to SMS or any messenger and check how the reduction works. To do this, you just need to type on the keyboard the abbreviation that you entered for the logo, and the system will immediately prompt you to insert the “bitten apple” symbol into the text. To do this, press the space bar.

For example, go to “Messages”. Select the user you want to send a message to and follow the tips above. Voila, the Apple logo has appeared in your text. Also, the “” sign can be sent via Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp or by mail. Now, when you type the abbreviation and press the spacebar, it will automatically change to the logo. This will work in notes, documents, browser, mail and other word processing programs.

Also in the keyboard settings you can register the phrases that you most often use in correspondence.
