Description
Features:
- The Husqvarna YTH 224T high performance garden tractor with side ejection is built for effective lawn care and year round operation.
Use the Husqvarna YTH 224T for lawn mowing, snow removal, soil aeration and hauling.
- The YTH 224T has a pedal operated hydrostatic transmission. Speed and direction are controlled by foot pedals, allowing the operator to keep both hands on the steering wheel for maximum control.
- The U-Cut system, which provides increased steering angle of the front wheels, makes it easy to avoid obstacles and mow the lawn around them. The system is characterized by a reduction in the diameter of the green circle when turning the tractor, increased cutting efficiency and increased maneuverability
- Cruise control system, allows you to maintain a set speed, even when working on uneven ground or slopes.
- The Husqvarna YTH 224T mini garden tractor is designed for year-round use. A wide range of attachments and trailers makes the tractor versatile and useful throughout the year. It can be equipped with trailers, snow plows, brushes and other equipment.
- Wing-mounted lever provides easy access to grass cutting height adjustment for improved ergonomics. Spring-loaded cutting deck makes adjustments easy.
- Model YTH 224T has an electric clutch for engaging the cutting blade/blades.
- Tractor hose fitting for easy cleaning of the cutting deck. Connect the hose, turn on the water, start the engine and you will have a clean deck. For best results, clean the deck immediately after use.
- For safety reasons the Reverse Control System (ROS) turns off the cutting blades when reversing, there is also an automatic switch under the seat, if the operator leaves the seat, the cutting deck will automatically turn off.
- Can be retrofitted with additional functions: grass catcher, mulching function (BioClip).
|
The Husqvarna YTH 224T tractor is equipped with a Kawasaki FS V-Twin 651 twin-cylinder engine with forced pressure lubrication, oil pump and oil filter. |
|

|

|

All drivers must complete professional and practical training. This training should focus in particular on:
- when driving a tractor, you must be careful and focused;
- when sliding down a slope, the brakes will not help regain control of the tractor.
Do not use on slopes greater than 15°. The tractor may roll over. Remember that there are no “safe” slopes. Moving on grassy slopes requires special attention.
Before operating the Husqvarna YTH 224T, some parts must be assembled and are shipped unassembled for ease of transport.
The engine must be run on clean (not mixed with oil) unleaded gasoline. Do not fill gasoline above the level of the lower edge of the filling hole. Do not exceed the maximum fill level.
To ensure trouble-free operation and high performance of the Husqvarna YTH 224T tractor, it is recommended to clean the transmission system before the tractor is used for the first time. This procedure will remove any air pockets from the transmission system that may have formed during transport of the tractor.
The direction and speed of travel are controlled by the forward and reverse pedals.
The Husqvarna YTH 224T tractor is equipped with a Reverse Drive System (ROS). Any attempt by the operator to reverse with the implement clutch engaged will shut off the engine until the ignition key is turned to the ROS “ON” position. Do not mow in reverse unless absolutely necessary.
Move by turning to the right so that the cut grass is thrown away from flowerbeds, paths, etc. For large lawns, it is necessary to change the direction of travel after every 2-3 turns so that the cut grass is thrown back onto the already cut area. Use the left side for cutting under trees, bushes, paths, etc. The blade cuts about fifteen millimeters under the coating.
When starting mowing, lower the cutting unit by moving the lift lever forward and connect the cutting unit. Select driving speed according to ground conditions and desired mowing results
Mower blades must be sharpened to achieve optimal working results. Replace worn or bent blades. For sharpening, you can use a file or a grinding wheel.
The service reminder indicator shows the total number of hours the engine has been running and indicates if the engine or the mower needs maintenance. Every 50 hours of operation, the oiler icon will turn on for 2 hours or until manually reset. The service reminder light comes on when the ignition key is in any position other than Stop.
At the end of the mowing season, the following actions should be taken:
- Clean the entire machine, especially under the cutting unit cover.
Do not use pressurized water for cleaning. Water can enter the engine and transmission and shorten the life of the machine.
- Paint all damaged painted surfaces to protect against corrosion.
- Change engine oil.
- Drain fuel from fuel tank. Start the engine and wait until all the fuel runs out.
- Remove the spark plug and pour one tablespoon of engine oil into the cylinder. Spin the engine by hand to distribute the oil. Install the spark plug.
- Remove battery. Recharge and store in a cool dry place. Do not expose the battery to low temperatures.
- The machine must be stored indoors in a dry, dust-free place.
