If you can imagine it, you can create it—anything from monolithic towers to cavernous rollercoasters. That’s the idea that sparked a world-building phenomenon in Mojang’s amazing Minecraft. Since the game’s release on the App Store, a steady stream of meaningful updates has kept this cube-filled universe fun, fresh and jam-packed with exciting features.
Some bugs I’ve noticed!
First off I’d like to say that Mojang has really done an outstanding job keeping up with updates and bug fixes. And I really appreciate them for that. The new Wild update is beautiful and I’m obsessed with the new mobs and terrains that came with it. However, as with most updates, there are always a few bugs and as a user I feel here is the best place to let someone know about the ones I’ve seen so far!
-The first thing was when loading a word (new or already existing) it take quite a bit of time to generate the world, along side that, when you enter the world, your surroundings take a while to load in and throughout gameplay you have to be patient and wait for the terrain ahead of you to load in.![]()
-The only other thing i saw was when trying to type in a command. As soon as you touch the keyboard to type, the game starts lagging a little. Once the command is entered it also causes the world to lag and then takes a bit of time for the command to follow through. (I’m afraid that the game is crashing sometimes lol).
So far that’s all I’ve seen though, so with a little bit of patience there’s really not that much of an issue. I do know that with every update there are also bugs and I know that Mojang really try’s there best to fix them asap so im not worried.
Thank you Mojang and the developers for your hard work and consistency! I love Minecraft and am always looking forward to experiencing the new and exciting features that await us. <3 <3 <3
It is a little hard on iPad i recommend creative
So first time I went into survival it was hard so I went into creative mode and I Spond frogs since you’re allowed to and a few days later I made a house yeah it was fun in a few days later I realize something that I can get commands so then I got a barrier block it was pretty fun this game is very good for probably 4+ or if you’re older than probably better and then I saw the cutest little thing it was a baby bunny in Minecraft guess what I did I hit it and then I got rabbit Leg which is supposedly very rare but I get rabbit leg a lot so it isn’t really rare just like the title says it’s hard on iPad but once you get used to it it gets so much easier so definitely probably go on a PC it’s probably much easier sorry that this is so long this is probably the best game ever so I recommend you playing this🤩🤩☺️ yes it is that good so definitely play this game it is literally the best I’m trying to figure out how to get mods🧐🧐so yeah sometimes it gets laggy in don’t be alarmed if when you like play a different game on your device and it really sets the world on Minecraft it’s probably just making sure that it isn’t laggy or there isn’t like any hackers or something like that so if you don’t want any random people joining then just go to settings I mean you probably can’t go to settings you have to like press the pencil and then you can press multiplayer and there you go dang this is long bye have a good day

Benchmarks & How to Download
Minecraft needs no introduction. Having sold 238 million copies across all platforms, Minecraft is considered the best-selling game of all time, so that should tell you something. With an impressive 93 Metacritic score from critics and a 7.6 from users, there’s no sign of its popularity waning any time soon.
Minecraft is truly a one-of-a-kind game, able to attract both children and adults (I’ve already logged 100+ hours), and we’re lucky it has supported macOS, virtually from Day 1. But how well can your Mac run Minecraft? Can it run on M1 Macs?
Can you play Minecraft on Mac?
You can absolutely play Minecraft on your Mac, and that includes Intel and M1 Models. In fact, Minecraft is one of the few AAA games that support M1 Macs with a native ARM Apple Silicon version.
Minecraft received native Apple Silicon recently as part of The Wild Update, version 1.19, in July 2022:
The M1 ARM64 architecture is now supported
It is worth mentioning that it has been possible to run Minecraft natively on M1 Macs for a while now. As a Java application, users have been using launcher apps such as MultiMC to load natively with an ARM Java runtime environment (JRE), but it is great to be able to simply run the game natively out of the box without needing any specific workarounds.
Bottom line: Minecraft runs great on modern Macs, including MacBook Airs and Mac Minis. We’ll share real-world benchmarks on M1 and Intel machines below.

Minecraft on Mac: Everything you need to know
A genre-creating game, Minecraft allows us to scratch our creativity itch as no other game has before. The ability to build whatever you can imagine, a variety of game modes, and a huge modding community mean the game never gets old or repetitive. Often described as building with Legos on the computer, it quickly became one of the most popular adventure games ever released.
With a variety of different modes to play, Minecraft can be a sandbox game allowing you to build undisturbed, a multiplayer game where you can cooperatively build your world with friends, or a game you play on Minecraft servers where survival is the goal (my son’s favorite used to be a Hunger Games server).
And while Minecraft’s purchase by Microsoft in 2014 caused some concern, so far, the game has remained true to its roots. With a huge modding community, the ability to join or create your own servers, and the ability to create actual working machines within the game, Minecraft created what many believe to be a new genre of games, but perhaps one in which it is the only true member.
If you want a truly open world where you can build whatever you want, with friends or alone, with monsters trying to destroy your creations or not, Minecraft is the game for you. Plus, it now features tons of awesome character customization options. And did you know Minecraft is so big, it recently got an RPG version called Minecraft Dungeons?
Minecraft Mac requirements
These are the game’s official Mac requirements:
Minimum Requirements | |
OS: | 10.14.5 Mojave |
Processor: | Intel Core i3 / Apple M1 |
Memory: | 2 GB RAM |
Graphics: | Intel HD Graphics 4000 or AMD Radeon R5 series |
Hard Drive: | 1 GB |

How to Play Minecraft on Mac
As mentioned before, Minecraft now runs natively on Mac, and that includes Intel-based and M1 Macs. Therefore, we won’t waste your time talking about Parallels, Crossover (both excellent tools, but only useful for Windows-exclusive games…), or Streaming services (this has to be said, as some guides spend entire pages talking about streaming WoW on Mac).

As a reminder, this is how we describe the different levels of performance:
- Below 20 FPS: Unplayable: Laggy gameplay, full of stutters and slowdowns.
- 20-30 FPS: Borderline: Can be OK in slow-paced games. Still, not optimal.
- 30-45 FPS: Playable: Acceptable for most (most gaming consoles do this).
- 45-60 FPS: Smooth: Fluid gameplay, with no perceivable stutters.
- 60+ FPS: Very Smooth: For hardcore and professional players, a luxury for most.
Intel benchmarks
These are some of our Intel-based benchmark results:
We tested Minecraft on the following Intel Macs:
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016): 2.0 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, Intel Iris Graphics 540 (1.5GB)
- iMac (5K, 27-inch, Late 2014): 3.5 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9 M290X (2GB)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2013): 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB RAM, GeForce GT 650M (1GB)
These are the settings we used (we understand these settings are somewhat low, but we had to be conservative when testing older machines):
Can my Mac run Minecraft?
As proven by all of our benchmarks, Minecraft can run on virtually any modern Mac. Performance may hurt when playing on extremely busy servers, but for the most part, Minecraft is an accessible Mac game anyone with a Mac from the past ten years should be able to enjoy.
Its modest system requirements allow any recent and many older Macs to play, and a reasonable price, means there’s no reason why every Mac gamer shouldn’t have Minecraft on their computer.
Can You Play Minecraft On A Macbook Pro?
MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs should be able to run Minecraft without a problem. In fact, when testing our 2016 MacBook Pro at higher resolutions, the results were still great:
- 1280×800: 60 FPS
- 2560×1600: 60 FPS
Running in Java truly helps Minecraft have consistent results across different Macs. Any recent Mac should have no trouble with it as long as you meet the minimum graphics requirements.
But What If You Have An Older Mac?
Our test 2013 Macbook Pro ran the game at 56.7 FPS, which is way above our target. If your Mac is even older than that, it will really depend on your machine’s graphics. If you have the minimum Intel HD Graphics 4000, you should be able to easily play Minecraft.
Minecraft is an excellent game for older Macs. Again, the fact that it runs in Java actually helps with consistent performance, and the blocky graphics keep those system requirements modest.

I decided to somehow try to run our favorite Cubes on my old and loose Macbook 2011, why not, as they say. Here are the specifications:
MacBook from the moment of purchase from hands in ~ 2012 is practically unchanged, except that the SSD was installed on 240GB from Kingsron.
Launched the game and got into the settings to change the language from English to Russian. And God, I was surprised to see my native language. A trifle, but nice
So, he created the World and entered the world of Cubes.
13-15fps, I expected worse.
Again useful, but this time in the settings. Since I don’t expect the game to run at 60fps stably without changing the settings to the minimum, I set the following settings:
We got 30-40 frames per second. But quite often they sink to ~25, which is unpleasant.
On the screen 50fps, but this is when idle.
For some reason, if you set it above 9 chunks, the frames sag almost twice. Most likely this is related to the GPU, but sorry, I’m a complete layman in this matter.
Of course, I eventually set the graphics to fast and the frames very rarely fell below 30. However, I did not stop there.
I thought about installing OptiFine, hoping to increase or stabilize the FPS at a good level.
I left the graphics settings the same, setting all optifne’s graphics settings to “fast” and got very good frames per second. In general, it is comfortable to play, you can achieve 60 frames, but only if you lower the loading of chunks to the minimum level.
However, why is this post needed? I already wrote this at the beginning of the post – why not. However, if it ends at this point, then the post will be somehow … short. So I’ll tell you how I played Cubes for an hour or two … on the touchpad. Lying on the bed playing Cubes on the touchpad.
Here it is, a 2011 touchpad.
Surprisingly, not so bad, but certainly not comparable to the cheapest mouse in the market. But it is played cheerfully.
Hold the touchpad – break the block, press / hold the touchpad with two fingers – put the block. Everything is quite simple and intuitive.
I chopped 16 wood, got 64 planks, made a wooden pick and went to the nearest cave.
Quite quickly dug up coal, and other useful things.
And here is the first fight, and it went… easily. Even aiming at him was not difficult. Yes, even the creeper is not as dangerous as it might seem.
I continue to dig and then a crowd of zombies attack me, I already throw out my sword in fright and run from them as fast as I can. Breaking away, quickly creating another sword, I begin to destroy them according to the training manual, which is again easy. At least I got some food for a while.
Everything is going smoothly and I go down some more hoping to find some diamonds.
However, I meet a skeleton on my way, and this asshole made me sweat, but I still managed to get rid of him. On the touchpad, they are too hard to hit. However, I meet another one and…
Conclusion: Skeletons are faggots.
Thank you for your attention!

Maybe you’re getting ready to buy your first Mac or you already have an Apple device but are new to PC gaming. In any case, this may surprise you:
Most of the best games available on Mac
Indeed, the gaming industry has come a long way before MacOS. Currently, 5 of the 10 most popular games on Steam support MacOS. Most of the top games from indie developers also support apple devices.
What games come with MacOS : Macbook iMac?
Will the game run on my Mac?
It’s great to find some cool games to play! But what’s the point if they don’t run on your device? There is quite a bit of information on the Internet about the results of running games on various devices running MacOS. Things are a little better in the English-speaking part of the Internet. There you can find full-fledged articles with test results.
In this article I will give the results of testing the most popular games on the MacBook Pro and iMac.
Devices with the following specifications were used to test games:
- iMac (5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)
3.5 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9 M290X (2GB)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2013)
2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, Intel Iris 5100 (1.5GB) - MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2016):
2.0 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, Intel Iris Graphics 540 (1.5GB)
The games were tested on medium graphics settings (so that the data correlates with older devices) at a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
Below is the test data. The titles of the games are shown horizontally, and the FPS is the number of frames per second along the vertical.
Less than 20 FPS | Unable to play | Everything is slow, slow and looks like a turn-based strategy |
20-30 FPS | Comfort Play Limit | Good for playing at a slow pace. But not yet optimal |
30-45 FPS | Suitable | Acceptable for most games (zone of most game consoles) |
45-60 FPS | Good | Good gameplay without brakes and stutters |
60+ FPS | Great! | For avid and professional players. |
Usually 30 frames per second is enough for a comfortable game, in which the picture changes from sharp jerks. When analyzing data, you can focus on this value.

I remember writing a post about games on the poppy “What games are on the MacBook and iMac?”. It was more for myself, although I’m not particularly interested in games. The network writes that the Mac is not suitable for games, so I decided to look for information on this issue. It so happened that this post turned out to be the most popular over the past year. But there is a point in that it does not affect the new line of Macs on the M1 processor.
