Monogram Appliance Review: Smart, Reliable Luxury

Monogram appliances should be at the top of your list if you are planning a high end kitchen. Hey, if that’s good enough for Gwyneth Paltrow, you know that’s good, right? The GE brand recently made the actress/entrepreneur an ambassador, promoting its luxury design and wellness features.
We agree with GP that Monogram has a lot to offer. As GE’s premium product line, it has become increasingly popular in recent years for its aesthetically pleasing features and first-class functionality. We think of it as an attractive and more affordable alternative to brands like Wolf and Thermador, and you should, too. We also like that it is supported by GE’s excellent service network across the country.
Monogram offers six product categories so you can fully equip your kitchen with the Monogram range or hob, wall-mounted oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, built-in appliances and specialty appliances (including unique ones such as built-in oven and spit). We’re going to give you an overview of each one, and our expert will talk about their best features and a few downsides that you’ll want to point out.
Read on for our hands-on overview of everything Monogram has to offer, as well as our expert opinions on what sets it apart from other professional style brands.
Matchmaker’s device: monogram
People often say that they “fall in love” with a stove or refrigerator. We understand that the kitchen is where our lives take place and the decisions you have to make about how to equip yours are emotional. We’ve helped over 300,000 customers build the kitchen of their dreams, and we’re here to help you figure out which brands best suit your wants and needs, from budget to design details. Let’s look at Monogram as a potential match.
You’ll love the monogram if…
- You want a professional kitchen at a competitive price
- Practical, popular, real features and functionality, like air frying, are just as important to you as luxury details.
- You want everything in your kitchen to match, including any built-in appliances such as an ice maker or beverage center.
- Are you interested in a panel refrigerator or dishwasher
- Are you intrigued by the idea of a refrigerator with a glass door
- Do you want your kitchen to look different from the kitchens of your neighbors Monogram.
Monogram might not be right for you if…
- Resale value is your number one priority; brands like Wolf and Thermador may have a lot of visibility in the eyes of some potential buyers.
- You want a color or matte finish (Monogram only offers stainless steel with option for refrigerators and dishwashers)
- You want something old-fashioned, with big chunky handles, heritage details and multiple screens. Monogram devices look a little sleeker and come with modern conveniences like LCD touch screens, LED backlighting and Wi-Fi that you might not need.
Monogram appliances are designed to add a touch of sophistication to premium kitchens. Here’s a breakdown of the Monogram series’ price points – they’re about 10 to 15 percent higher than cafe appliances, Monogram’s trendy junior sister brand in the GE family.
If you are planning to purchase several of the same fixtures, please be aware that Monogram runs seasonal promotions and special packages throughout the year.
Monogram Price appliances

Microwave ovens $750 to $ 4100

Wall ovens

Ventilation Hoods

Note: GE does not manufacture laundry equipment under the Monogram brand or as part of the Profile or Café lines. Instead, the company bundled them under the GE washing machine brand.
Monogram Design Styles: Showy, Minimalist and Designer
Monogram Home Appliances belongs to one of two different collections: Statement or Minimalist. They have the same functionality and technology inside, but their exterior design is completely different.
Monogram Minimalist Collection Household appliances
Like a modern look? You can narrow your search down to the minimalist Monogram collection. These stainless steel appliances are completely flush-mounted and look completely discreet in your kitchen.
Instead of massive handles and knobs, they have either a clean-lined handle or push-to-open handleless doors and touch screens.
On wall-mounted ovens and even refrigerators, you can get a sleek, full-width black glass front.
Pro tip: Look for Monogram hobs, not rulers, so that all your appliances fit together perfectly.
Monogram Statement Collection
These pieces combine traditional and modern design elements in a way that we think will look beautiful in almost any kitchen style. You just have to love mixed metals: stainless steel with brass inserts is the statement that the Monogram Statement collection makes.
You will also notice that these appliances have chunky professional handles and commercial restaurant style handles.
Like the Minimalist collection, they still have wide glass viewing windows and touch screens, so they’re not completely traditional and old-fashioned.
Monogram Designer Collection Home Appliances
Monogram introduced these products, designed by creative director Richard Anuszkiewicz, in 2022. They are only available to order and come in two color options: brass (including the all-brass fridge and hood) and titanium. At height 9The 6″ Designer Collection refrigerator is taller than the standard 84″ built-in refrigerator, giving it a sense of height. Another luxurious touch is the fully leather-wrapped handle on the ruler.
Monogram cookers and ovens
The Monogram range is likely to be the first to visit your kitchen – it will be a highlight. They are available in three sizes: 30″, 36″ or 48″. You will have a choice of six models.
One choice you will need to make is between gas or dual fuel. The latter, which combines a gas stove and an electric oven, is popular because electric ovens can provide a more consistent cooking temperature. Dual-fuel models tend to be slightly more expensive.
Monogram ovens also come in several hob configurations that can include a pan, grill, burners or a combination of the three.
Pro Tip: Interested in induction? Monogram does not make an induction hob, but does offer an induction hob that can be paired with a wall-mounted oven.
Monogram Series Configurations
Key Features
Series
Monogram Professional Range
30″, 36″ or 48″ wide. Griddle is available on 36″ and 48″ models; second oven on 48-inch models; grill and/or skillet available on 48″ dual fuel model. From $5600
All gas ranges
From $5600
- tunny torches with a double stack; gas convection oven.
- 36″: gas hob with either two 23,000 BTU multi-ring brass burners and four double-stacked brass burners, or two 23,000 BTU multi-ring brass burners, two double-deck burners and a frying pan; gas convection oven.
- 48″: gas hob with two 23,000 BTU multi-ring brass burners, four double-stack brass burners and pan; gas convection oven
Dual fuel ranges
starting at $6800 three bunk burners; electric convection oven with air frying without preheating, self-cleaning and steam cleaning.
GE has recently reimagined the Monogram line, giving the cookers (and other appliances in the line) a more streamlined design, sleek copper accents and matching handles. The latest iterations are the most luxurious.
Monogram Features
You’ll also find some unexpected but useful surprises in the Monogram collections. Grill grates can be turned over to form a ring of wok. The burner dials are illuminated, emitting a red signal light when left on.
Monogram calls its 21,000 BTU torch the TrueTemp torch. This one, like the burners and heating elements on its hobs, is specifically designed to work with Hestan cookware and the Hestan Cue app. It’s a guided recipe program with a very interesting feature: it syncs your pan with the burner so your food cooks perfectly without any effort on your part.
You also get the option of an integrated airfryer. This is a feature of all GE ovens, and GE has perfected the convection oven technology to produce very crispy foods.
No need to clutter up the countertop or pull out the fryer for every use. Best of all, the oven fryer offers ample cooking space (5.7 cubic feet in the 30-inch model) thanks to the upgraded convection system. This means a much larger fryer capacity and much larger batches of snacks.
Monogram tops and hobs
There’s a lot to love about the Monogram stove or hobs. They have the same great features as his series but give you more flexibility in your kitchen layout.
Monogram gas cookers are part of the Professional range; they have the same brass finishes, including massive forward-facing knobs, as his ranges.
Monogrammed hobs fit more seamlessly on top of your counter and can run on gas, induction or electricity.
Would you like to know more about hobs and cookers? Basically, these are hobs with burners or heating elements without an oven under them; you would coordinate them with a separate wall oven or a stack of ovens. Find out the differences and similarities in our detailed buying guide.
Monogram Professional Gas Cookers
$4400 to $5400.
Commercial style tops with all Monogram Series finishes are 36″ wide with six or four burners and a pan, and 48″ wide with six burners and a pan.
Monogram Gas Hobs
$2400 to $2700.
If you prefer a less commercial and chunky look, you can choose the 30″ or 36″ Monogram gas hob. Both of these spacious sizes offer five full-grid burners, making it easy to move heavy pots and pans between flames, as well as high-quality brass finishes. The 36″ size is available with burners with or without brass inserts, and the grill attachment fits two left burners of all sizes.
Monogram Induction Hobs
$2,800 to $3,500
Nothing heats up faster than an induction hob, and Monogram is available in 30″ four-element or 36″ five-element, black or patterned silver glass. They can be mounted flush with the kitchen worktop. They also boast great versatility. You can “pair” (or combine) two burners for a larger pot so that the area between them heats up. The burners also expand to heat larger pots or pans. For safety reasons, it is equipped with a frying pan sensor (it turns off when it does not detect a frying pan) and a hot surface indicator.
One thing we really love: the Monogram induction cooktop eliminates the buzzing noise that some other induction cooktops make.
Monogram Electric Hobs
$2000 to $2200 Monogram Five Burner Electric Hobs, available in 30″ and 36″ widths, also fit neatly into your countertop to keep your kitchen looking sleek. They have many of the same convenience features you’ll find on the brand’s induction models, including a keep warm zone, hot surface indicator, and melt function, although they’re less efficient and responsive to temperature changes.
If your budget allows, we recommend an induction hob on an electric hob any day.
Unique Features
Hestan Cue: GE brands including Monogram work with Hestan smart cookware with a temperature sensor to automate cooking for you. Monogram hobs (including those on its stoves) can connect to the Hestan Cue app, which features instructional video recipes that automatically adjust the temperature of the pan as it cooks.
Wi-Fi: All Monogram devices are Wi-Fi enabled, giving you access to settings, features, troubleshooting, and even downloadable extras through the app or smart assistant voice control.
Monogram Ovens
Monogram offers a wide range of ovens in both the Statement and Minimalist collections. If you have an old 27″ wall oven, you can fit the new 27″ oven right into its niche without having to make any major changes to the kitchen cabinets.
Monogram Smart Five in single wall ovens
Available in 27″ and 30″ widths; 27″ Minimalist Only
120V or 240V
$3,500 to $4,100
Monogram’s Advantium 5-in-1 Speed Oven doubles as airfryer, microwave, keep warm/proofer, toaster and convection oven all in one , and its modernized cooking technology does not require preheating. Single and double wall oven configurations are available in both the Minimalist collection with edge-to-edge glass fronts and the Statement collection with stainless steel edging. (The collections are priced the same, so choosing between them is really a matter of aesthetic preference.)0003
Monogram Electric Convection Ovens for Single and Double Ovens
Available in 27″ and 30″ widths in a minimalist or executive style. The
French door oven is also available in 30″ style.
$3,700 to $5,800.
European convection; previous generation ovens do not have a double fan. They also have more convection baking modes, LED lighting (as opposed to halogen) and two heavy-duty self-cleaning full extension racks instead of one.
One note: new ovens must not be installed under the hob.
Monogrammed steam oven
Only available in the Statement collection.
From $3900
. Introduced in 2022, this is GE’s first steam oven – you won’t find it in the Profile or Cafe lines. Gwyneth Paltrow has one at home. The Monogram version is a bit different from other brands in that it runs on water from a removable tank (it’s not connected to the plumbing), but recirculates the water – useful so you don’t have to top it up as often. It can perform multiple tasks just like a real European convection oven. Another benefit: it comes with a six-piece stainless steel cookware set specifically designed for steaming.
Monogram Electric Deck Oven
30″ Width
From $8,999*
This unique brick oven style appliance is one of the first of its kind, and Monogram recently updated it to fit perfectly in your cabinet and got a new a brass detail that matches perfectly with other pieces from the Statement collection. pieces. It also now has more preset cooking modes and is perfect for pizza, fish, vegetables and more. And with a unique vent-free design, you won’t have to worry about smells entering your home or installing additional ductwork.
Monogrammed rotisserie
Later this year, an indoor grill will be launched, built using the same no-ventilation technology as the deck oven. If you love to cook on a spit (or just want something really unique in your kitchen), it will make your space stand out.
Monogram Refrigerators
Monogram makes kitchen refrigerators of all sizes and ceiling heights. In addition to real built-in refrigerators and columns, free-standing built-in refrigerators are available. And here’s another touch of luxury: you can get a glass-door refrigerator similar to those made by more expensive competitors like Sub-Zero and True.
All available with Statement or Minimalist handles; if you choose a model with a panel, you can choose any of them or use your own handle.
Full-size configurations
Monogram refrigerators are clean lines; they don’t have the louvered top you see on Sub-Zero refrigerators, for example.
Counter Depth Choice
- 36″ French Door with Bottom Freezer Drawer, $4,500.
Built-in selection
$8,400 to $12,500
- 48″ side-by-side, with or without dispenser, stainless steel or panel

You have many options for customization: order the Monogram refrigerator as a side-by-side unit or with a freezer underneath. Turn on the water and ice dispenser or don’t use it at all. Choose a stainless steel or glass door, or cover your refrigerator with a cabinet panel to match your kitchen decor. And that’s just on the outside of the fridge – you can also customize the shelves and compartments inside.

Modern kitchen stoves – worthy heirs of the Russian stove
Full list
Published: 14.09.2016
Modified: 01/25/2023
- ABX – keeping up with the times
- Harvia stoves – a worthy choice
- Invicta and French know-how
- KVS Moravia – kitchen stoves in Czech interpretation
- La Nordica – welcome Mediterranean guests
- NunnaUuni – Finnish minimalism
It would seem that what could be more comfortable than a traditional Russian stove installed in the kitchen of your country house or cottage? Unless her modern “granddaughter” is a high-tech heating device that compares favorably with her in its design, and also pleases with excellent thermal characteristics! It so happened historically that the stove in the kitchen has long become for us, Russian people, a familiar attribute of everyday life, a real classic of the genre. However, time does not stand still, and every year engineers and designers of leading European companies engaged in the manufacture of high-class heating equipment present new models of heating and cooking stoves to the attention of buyers. These modern units, which have a number of different advantages, in some cases represent a good alternative to their famous predecessors. In our today’s article, we have prepared for you a small review of heating and cooking stoves of various brands presented in the catalog of the My Fireplace company.
ABX – keeping up with the times
Speaking of modern kitchen stoves, of course, wood-burning models from the well-known Czech manufacturer ABX cannot be ignored. These fairly compact heaters, made of high-quality cast iron, usually have two burners. Some of the models presented in our catalog are also equipped with a convenient oven, which greatly expands their culinary possibilities. All heating hobs manufactured by this brand have a fixed grate and an ash drawer. In addition, they provide free space suitable for storing a small supply of firewood. Another distinctive feature of Czech models can be considered the coating of their hob with heat-resistant glass ceramics.
What is the secret behind the popularity of ABX kitchen ovens? Part of their success is due to the use of various kinds of innovations. The company’s developers are working tirelessly to make these stoves even more efficient in terms of home heating. It is for this purpose that the walls of their furnaces are lined with fireclay and vermiculite from the inside. In addition, all models presented in our collection have a modern secondary afterburning system, which is based on double air supply in separate streams to the lower and upper parts of the furnace. All heating and cooking stoves of this brand have two options for connecting the chimney – rear and top. Ergonomic doors with glass-ceramic inserts make these units very comfortable and pleasant to use.
Also noteworthy are the large-sized steel models produced by the Czech brand, available in both left and right versions. They are distinguished by spectacular cladding made of glazed tiles of various colors. Similar heating and cooking stoves are also equipped with a hob and a functional oven.
Harvia ovens – a worthy choice
Our review of the new generation of heating and cooking stoves would not be complete without the products of the well-known Finnish manufacturer Harvia. The models placed in the catalog of our website are made of first-class cast iron and lined with high-quality fireclay bricks. They have a door with an insert made of heat-resistant ceramic glass, which allows you to freely observe the combustion process. Due to the amazing heat storage properties of cast iron, Harvia stoves continue to give off heat energy even several hours after the last portion of firewood burns through.
Finnish kitchen stoves are well thought out down to the smallest detail. The firebox in all models is located directly under the hob, and around it there are special holes that perform a convection function. At the bottom of the ovens there are similar openings designed to take in cooled air. Cooking stoves from Harvia have several options for connecting to the chimney. As standard, they have a chimney adapter installed at the back, but there is also the possibility of top or side connection. Among other things, a special container for storing kitchen utensils, located at the bottom of some models presented in our collection, can be considered a nice addition.
Invicta and French “know-how”
An excellent addition to your dacha can be a kitchen stove from the famous French brand Invicta, made of strong and durable cast iron of its own production. High-quality heaters manufactured by this manufacturer at a modern European plant demonstrate excellent efficiency rates (about 77%), as well as low fuel consumption. To provide additional protection for the walls of the firebox, heating and cooking stoves from Invicta are lined with fireclay bricks from the inside. The models presented on our website use the technology of secondary afterburning of flue gases, as well as the technology of long burning, which allows not only to achieve the greatest efficiency in terms of heating, but also to minimize the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere. The vitroceramic door serves as an exquisite decoration of the heater, and also gives it all the advantages of a traditional wood-burning fireplace.
Invicta’s French stoves offer several chimney connection options. You can connect it not only from above and behind, but also from the side. On the hob of all models of this manufacturer there are special rings for burners, removing which you can influence the cooking time and intensity of heating of your dishes. In addition, some Invicta kitchen ovens can be equipped with an oven or tumble dryer.
The decorative design of the heating and cooking stoves, placed in our catalog, will also not leave you indifferent, because they are covered with a special heat-resistant enamel of various shades. A spectacular glossy finish in black, dark red and white colors will make the Invicta stove a bright decoration of a country house, placing all the necessary accents in your interior.
KVS Moravia – cooking stoves in the Czech interpretation
A good selection of high-quality and relatively inexpensive kitchen stoves is offered by the Czech company KVS Moravia. Modern heating appliances, combining the best features of a traditional hearth and a Russian stove, are made of high-quality steel and cast iron. They are equipped with a special hob and oven for roasting fish, meat and vegetables, as well as preparing various kinds of pastries. Unlike many of their competitors, these stoves can run on different types of solid fuels – wood, coal and briquettes.
In our collection, each client can find a kitchen stove from KVS Moravia that suits him in all respects – in size, power, decorative design. Many of them are available in the left or right modification, depending on the future location in the interior. It is worth noting that all heating and cooking stoves of this brand have several outlets for flue gases, that is, they can be connected to the chimney from different sides (top, side or rear).
The designers of KVS Moravia took care of the appearance of the kitchen stoves produced by this nonsense. All of them have a heat-resistant enamel coating, made in the most popular colors – white, beige, black, green and burgundy. In their artistic design, everything is perfect – even handles and railings can be made not only in budget plastic, but also in a more noble chrome or gold-plated (imitation) version.
La Nordica – long-awaited Mediterranean guests
Our compatriots have always warmly received heating and cooking stoves from the famous Italian brand La Nordica. And there is a perfectly logical explanation for this. The Italians, who gave the world a whole range of unusually delicious dishes, are rightfully considered connoisseurs in the field of culinary. Therefore, kitchen stoves manufactured by this manufacturer can not only serve as an excellent help in the so-called “field” conditions – in the absence of gas supply or in emergency situations, but also become the best assistant for gourmets.
It is important to note that these high-quality cast iron and stainless steel heaters run on wood and do not depend on any kind of energy carriers. They have a fairly high efficiency – about 80%. Italian stoves work on the principle of convection – cold air penetrates into the stove through special holes in the lining; it heats up evenly, passing between the double walls of the heating unit. Some models presented in our catalog are equipped not only with a functional hob, but also with a fairly spacious oven with enameled walls, built-in temperature sensor, and a reliable door with ceramic glazing. The presence of a convenient ash drawer, a modern air intake regulator, the possibility of side loading and connection to a water heating circuit (for some stoves), as well as a drawer for firewood make Italian stoves welcome guests in every home. The design of these heating units can also be quite diverse – our collection includes both laconic cast-iron models without enameling, and options with enameling in warm colors, and samples lined with the famous Italian majolica of beige, red, black and white colors.
NunnaUuni – Finnish minimalism
Being familiar with the excellent sauna stoves of the Finnish manufacturer NunnaUuni, we can safely recommend you the modern kitchen models produced by this famous brand. All heating and cooking stoves presented in the My Fireplace catalog are made of a unique natural material – soapstone, a natural stone with excellent heat-accumulating properties. Some of them are equipped only with a cast-iron hob with two burners, while others, on the contrary, have only an oven and are positioned as bread ovens and are used for making various kinds of pastries.
Every NunnaUuni kitchen oven is based on the principle of gas generation: combustion air is supplied from under the grate. The primary one goes right under the very laying of firewood, the secondary (hot) one goes to the place where combustible gases are burned. Such a system contributes to the rapid combustion of fuel at a temperature of 800 ° C and minimizes the deposition of soot and soot on the walls of the device. Thus, environmentally friendly NunnaUuni stoves reliably protect the environment from pollution and, thanks to their original design, serve as an unusual decorative element that creates a special mood in your home!
We really hope that this article has helped you to set the necessary accents in your preferences and finally choose the stove of your dreams.
